Rev. Dr. Lawson Kwaku Dzanku

Rev. Dr. Lawson Kwaku Dzanku was born on October 10, 1969, in Akrofu Agorve, a town in the Volta Region of Ghana. He was commissioned into the ministry on June 3, 2001. He has served as the Synod Moderator for the Central-Western Presbytery and the Ho West Presbytery of the EPCG.

 

He has also been a lecturer at the Evangelical Presbyterian University and a member of the Research and Ethics Committee of the University for Health and Allied Sciences. He is married to Mrs. Georgina Dzanku and they have six children.

 

Some of Rev. Dr. Dzanku’s publications are:

Go into the Deep: This is a book that explores the biblical concept of discipleship and challenges Christians to deepen their relationship with God and others.

Garden of Children: This is a book that offers practical and spiritual guidance for parents and teachers on how to nurture and educate children in the Christian faith.

The spirit-filled church Leader: This is a book that examines the role and qualities of a church leader who is empowered by the Holy Spirit to serve God and his people.

The impact of religion on human values: A case study of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana: This is a PhD thesis that investigates how religion influences the values and moral behavior of members of the EPCG.

The role of the church in promoting peace and reconciliation in Ghana: This is a paper that was presented at the Pan African Presbyterian Men Fellowship’s second biennial conference in Johannesburg, South Africa. It discusses how the church can contribute to the peacebuilding process in Ghana and Africa.

The challenges and prospects of Christian education in Ghana: This is a paper that was published in the Journal of Religion and Education in Africa. It analyzes the current state and future direction of Christian education in Ghana, with reference to the EPCG.

Qualification:

Rev. Dr. Dzanku holds a PhD in Religion and Human Values from the University of Cape Coast, an MPhil in African Studies from the University of Ghana, Legon, a Bachelor of Divinity from the University of Ghana, Legon, and a Diploma in Education from the University of Education, Winneba.
