Pre-burial service held for late Moderator of E.P Church
A pre-burial service has been held in Ho for the late Very Reverend Dr. Seth Senyo Agidi, immediate past Moderator of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Ghana (EPCG).
The late Moderator passed away at the Ho Teaching Hospital in October 2020 after battling an illness and would be buried according to the customs of the Church on Saturday February
27, 2021.
The casket in which he lies has been placed at the Dela Cathedral of the Church, where selected dignitaries are in attendance for the pre-burial ceremony.
Tributes from the various branches of the Church were delivered.
The Church has put in place measures to minimise the spread of the COVID-19, and had restricted attendance to only General Assembly Execu
tive Council members, pastors serving in the Ho East and Ho West Presbyteries of the Church, and also the bands and the choir of the Church.
A strict two-hour burial service would be held on Saturday, which would be telecast live on GTV, and also other major social media platforms.
The mortal remains would be interred at the Ho Kpodzi Missionary cemetery after the burial service.
The Very Rev. Dr Agidi was ordained as Minister of the Church on August 06, 1989, and is survived by Mrs Madeleine Akpene Kadji Agidi.
He served the Church in different capacities and was elected in August 2014 and inducted into office on January 11, 2015 as the 13th Moderator of the Church.
